Planing Ahead
By the ends of February and the beginnings of March I am planning to start the support group if the survey shows that students and teachers would be willing to attend along with having a sponsor. I am planning to start it by then because I would like to see if the support group is helpful or not, at least here in Chinquapin. I would hold a survey at the beginning of May for those who have attended the support groups, with the survey I would be able to have a sense of the effectiveness the support group had and in what areas could the support group could have been improved.

You would need to survey your audience about their grieving process before and after the group in order to assess the group's effectiveness.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Susan that you should have data before and after so you can compare how your group has helped people.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is that how are you going to do it to have people be straight forward about how they feel? Do you think that some people may want to keep it personal? How are you going to get some of the people who may really need it to speak up? And how will you conduct the group? Will it just be talking of people or are you going to be asking questions?
